The Foundation

We have created The Langland Family Be A Light Foundation to honor and to remember the life of Brooke Anne Langland who died unexpectedly in November of 2020 from an acute pulmonary embolism. Brooke was a senior at Liberty High School.

2023 Langland Family Be A Light Foundation Grants

 It's been 3 years since we lost our sweet Brooke.  In that time, we have continued to grow her foundation.  For 2023, we are proud to have given out a total of $16480 to the following in her honor: Liberty High School Be A Light Dance Scholarships Liberty High School Be A Light Difference Makers Scholarships Liberty High School Dance Team Liberty High School Difference Makers The Liberty Fund at the Iowa City Community School District Foundation ISDTA Brooke Langland Memorial Scholarship Summer of the Arts - Iowa City Riverside Theater - Iowa City Hospice Home of Johnson County - Holiday Lights at the Lake Glioblastoma Research Organization (for Uncle Tom)
