Iowa City Park Brooke Anne Langland Memorial Bench

Brooke would have been starting her fourth year at the University of Iowa this Fall. We have provided some of Brooke's Light by participating in the Iowa City Parks and Recreation department's memorial bench program. If you need a quiet place to rest or study, have a seat here and share a photo with us. The bench is located along the river trail just North of Hancher in City Park.

The Foundation

We have created The Langland Family Be A Light Foundation to honor and to remember the life of Brooke Anne Langland who died unexpectedly in November of 2020 from an acute pulmonary embolism. Brooke was a senior at Liberty High School.
